straight to the City Hall site right here or by clicking
on the logo above.

Tell
the City that you'd like them to link to the Community Website!
You can now pay
your City of Milpitas bills online, but it takes 6-8 weeks
to process your application; however the service is free.
What follows is the general outline of the City's web site,
saving you steps, if you need specific information.
Here's how to find what you need in a flash: In Netscape,
in the Edit menu, select Find In Page (or Find
Again). Type in a key word. For Internet Explorer is similar:
Edit ... Find.
To keep this map available, in Netscape click and hold on
a link (right click on PCs). A popup window will let you select
New Window With This Link.

City Council
The City council page has portraits of the mayor and each of
the city council members.
To address Internet email to City Hall personnel the format
is:
[First initial][Last name]@ci.milpitas.ca.gov
Thus the mayor's email would be: jesteves@ci.milpitas.ca.gov.
City Hall, however, will only be providing department email
addresses to the public.
"Under construction" pages will be in bold only,
not linked.

Public Works
This site cuts right to the heart of City Services. They link
right to the solutions:

Recreation Services
An extensive site that is basically an online copy of the Milpitas
Connection Magazine. If you've lost your "dead tree
version," this may be handy. Most of the pages are now in
Adobe
Acrobat pdf format, so you'll have to make sure your computer
has this plug-in before viewing the pages. The files are also
rather large, so if you have a slow connection or are short of
hard drive space, you may just want to go get the paper version.
These links have been updated for the Summer 2003 issue.

Fire
Department
Public Education Program is the most interesting section.
- Fire
Administration Org chart without the names of the position
holders.
- Bureau
of Fire Prevention
- Emergency Management Services S.A.F.E. - Strategic
Actions For Emergencies is an emergency awareness program created
to save lives and reduce property damage by training individuals
to initiate mitigation activities before or immediately following
an emergency. City took this page down.
