Child Safety Seat Requirements
SB 567 by Senator Jackie Speier (D-Hillsborough) requires that children less than six years of age or weighing less than 60 pounds be properly restrained in a child passenger restraint system and doubles fines for first-time child safety seat violations.

Diamond (HOV) Lanes
To use the carpool lane during commute hours, you must be travelling in a carpool, vanpool, or public transit vehicle. Motorcycle riders may also use carpool lanes. During non-commute hours, the lanes revert to general traffic use. Southbay commute lanes.
