Dear School Board Member. As well as the draft about best practices
for Boards as they are shaping their own policies, this package
contains an example of one school board's adopting of the current
draft, suggested readings related to home based education and
alternative educational philosophies, and some excellent web
sites to help you explore further.

This memorandum provides direction to school boards and schools
concerning policies related to home schooling and the excusing
of children from school who are receiving home schooling. School
boards should bring this memorandum to the attention of parents
who are providing home schooling.
