serves as an advisory body to the City Council on matters affecting
sister cities relationships, programs, and activities.

Milpitas Mayor Esteves and Dagupan Vice Mayor Fernandez signed
a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the April 15, 2002 Milpitas
City Council session. Debra Garcia, Chair, represented the commission's
review and recommendation.

Huizhou
A prefecture-level city in Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. Part of the Pearl River Delta, Huizhou borders
the provincial capital of Guangzhou to the west, Shaoguan to
the north, Heyuan to the northeast, Shanwei to the east, Shenzhen
and Dongguan to the southwest, and looks out to the South China
Sea to the south.
Huizhou History - The Politics of Commerce
Devotees of the "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms",
a Chinese historical fiction that describes the warring period
from 220-280 A.D., will be thrilled to learn that a former residence
of General Caocao is located in Huizhou, and that near to it,
nine Cao family tombs have been discovered.

Huizhou is one of the major cities to the east of Guangzhou with a long history. It has been called Huizhou since the Ming Dynasty (960-1279 AD) and recognized as a city in 1958.
The Innovations of The Huizhou Architectural Style
A noticeable feature of Huizhou villages are the high, crenellated
walls that separate neighboring buildings. Called fire-proof
walls, and sometimes fire-wind walls or horse head walls, their
important purpose was to prevent the spread of fire through the
town from one building to the next.

Quest to Kukizaki
Richard and I went to apply for the questing position with the
Bureau of Foreign Questing at the Council of Adventurers and
Quest Seekers. Of course with our high stature in the community
we didn't have to wait long for approval.
