Storm Events for Santa Clara County
Selected Santa Clara County and All County-based Events. Unusual weather-related events in Santa Clara County, including
excessive heat, wind storms, tornadoes, flash floods, etc. Worse weather event in Milpitas was a thunderstorm with high winds in January 2010.
Worse thing that happened was a plane had to be diverted from SFO to Oakland Airport. Some people lost power for awhile, and some trees blew down. No one died. No one was injured, and there was no property damage. So, basically, you have nothing to fear from weather events in Milpitas.
Tornadoes are extremely rare here, but one did occur in 1998. This one did some destruction in Sunnyvale.
